Classic Salsa

  • 4 medium tomatoes, coarsely chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 to 3 jalapeno peppers or Serrano peppers seeded and minced
  • cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper (optional)

Combine tomatoes, onion, jalapenos, cilantro, garlic and lime juice in medium bowl; gently mix. Season with salt and black pepper, if desired.

Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
